Presenter Bios

Vered Arbel is STOTT PILATES® Lead Instructor Trainer, ACSM certified Personal Trainer and the Owner of Elements in Motion. She became a Certified Lead Instructor Trainer in 2000 for STOTT PILATES®  and opened her own studio and training center, teaching certification courses and continuing education workshops for health and fitness professionals as well as working with a broad range of clients from rehabilitation to athletes.  Currently, Vered is pursuing her degree in Kinesiology and preparing to enter the PhD program at University of Illinois at Chicago.  She is also designing a new fitness program, Elemental Fit-X™, for clients and health and fitness professionals.  Elemental Fit-X™ fuses the latest research in the health and fitness industry to facilitate today’s physical demands on the body.  Vered’s workshops have been approved by ACSM, NSCA, NASM, ACE and IPTA.

Dr. Tal Amasay received his Ph.D. in Human Physiology, with emphasis in Biomechanics, from the University of Oregon and is a certified Health and Fitness Specialist through ACSM and a Certified Strength and Conditioning Specialist through NSCA.  Dr. Amasay is the Co- founder of Elemental Fit-X™ education program and is a celebrated professor at Barry University, Miami Shores, FL where he serves as the coordinator of the Physical Education program at the Department of Sport and Exercise Sciences.  His teaching experience includes various undergraduate and graduate courses in the areas of exercise science and fitness/wellness such as Biomechanics, Strength Training and Conditioning, Motor Learning, Test and Measurement and Exercise Physiology. Dr. Amasay’s primary research interests include, but are not limited, investigating shoulder kinematics and musculoskeletal disorders in different occupational settings and in the area of strength training and conditioning specifically power output and plyometrics. Dr. Amasay’s research has been published internationally in scientific journals such as Journal of Orthopaedic & Sports Physical Therapy, Journal of Strength and Conditioning Research, and International Journal of Industrial Ergonomics.
